DC SCHEDULER AND
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Successful candidates will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and be able to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks in a high pressure/fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working closely with the senator and his scheduling team, including the Director of Scheduling, and the other office teams; coordinating all travel for the senator and filing travel reports; assisting with incoming meeting requests and invitations; managing the senator’s daily schedule in DC; greeting the senator’s meeting attendees; managing the senator’s personal correspondence and office, and other projects as required. The ideal candidate will be: an excellent communicator; organized with attention to detail; able to exercise sound judgment and discretion; excellent with time-management; able to anticipate problems, seek solutions, and effectively communicate with others; able to work flexible hours, and professional at all times. Previous congressional work experience and scheduling and/or executive assistant experience is strongly preferred as is familiarity with Hawaiʻi . 

Senator Schatz’s office is a great place to work. The office is made up of more than 50 staffers who help to advocate for the people of Hawaiʻi and work on a range of issues, across several committees.  

The position is based in the senator’s Washington, DC office.

This position will start ASAP.

The starting salary for this position is commensurate with experience.
