Schatz Hosts President-Elect of Hawaii Chamber of Commerce at Senate Leadership Meeting

Menor-McNamara Meets with Reid to Elevate Hawaii’s Priorities

Washington, DC—Today, Senator Brian Schatz hosted President-Elect of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, Sherry Menor-McNamara, in Washington, DC at the Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee (DSOC) Meeting with Majority Leader Reid and other members of Senate leadership. Topics for discussion included job creation, tourism, development in the clean energy sector, and economic recovery.

“It was an honor to meet with Senator Schatz, Majority Leader Reid and Senators and leaders from across the country to discuss issues that are important to Hawaii’s local economy,” said Menor-McNamara. “By having an on-going discussion with our leaders, we will protect Hawaii’s economic interests, promote business-friendly policies, and spur job creation. I thank Senator Schatz for the opportunity.”
