Schatz Congratulates Saint Louis Graduate Marcus Mariota and the Oregon Ducks on a Successful Season

Washington, D.C. – Today U.S. Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawai‘i) congratulated Saint Louis School graduate Marcus Mariota and the University of Oregon on a successful football season.  Mariota’s teammates include Saint Louis School graduates Bronson Yim and Isaac Ava, Kamehameha alum Koa Kaai, and Punahou graduates DeForest Buckner and Davis Miyashiro-Saipaia.  

“Congratulations to the Oregon Ducks, including our six local players from Hawai‘i, on a successful season,” said Senator Schatz.  “Although tonight didn’t end as we all had hoped, Marcus and our local boys have inspired many across the islands and have given all of us so much to be proud of.  They all have bright futures ahead, and I look forward to following their successful careers.”
