Project Purpose: This program provides Hawai‘i residents with the knowledge and skills to better prepare themselves prior to a disaster occurring and build more resilient communities.

Project Purpose: This project will develop Mapunapuna and Kalihi Kai Area Drainage Master Plan (ADMP) for the City and County of Honolulu. The overall vision for the plan is to first characterize the flood hazard, i.e., flooding due to sea level rise, or riverine or pluvial flooding, within the study areas and then develop flood risk reduction options for the built environments.

Project Purpose: This hazard mitigation planning project would develop a Waikiki Special Area Plan (SAP). It would focus on identifying future sea level rise inundation areas in Waikiki, as well as planning adaptation strategies and designs for infrastructure and buildings within the area.

Project Purpose: This proposed three-year program will offer residential hurricane retrofits at no cost to low-income households living in homes with insufficient protection.

Project Purpose: This hazard mitigation project seeks to retrofit buildings at the Honolulu Corporation Yard (also known as the Halawa Baseyard) to create safe space for City and other personnel to stage alongside their equipment during hurricane or other high wind events in order to execute the post-disaster debris clearance mission.
