Native Hawaiian Community
$1 million to support Native Hawaiian cultural education — Funding for eight Native Hawaiian organizations to help implement the NATIVE Act, a 2016 bill authored by Senator Schatz to help empower Native communities through cultural tourism.

$22 million for the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands — Funding for the Department of Hawaiian Homelands (DHHL) to help provide financial assistance to Native Hawaiian families to obtain new homes, make renovations, build community facilities, and receive housing services, including counseling, financial literacy, and other critical resources to address housing disparities.
